Savar: A mobile court in Savar on Friday sentenced a young man to one year jail for stalking a college girl, reports UNB.

The convicted young man is Khairul Hasan Apurba, 23, son of Anwar Hossain, a resident of Badda Bhatpara area.

Kabir Hossain, sub-inspector of Savar Model Police Station, said Khairul used to stalk the girl of Savar Model College on her way to college.

Later, the girl’s family members complained to the police station against Khairul.

Police in a drive arrested him from a shop in Lama Bazar area in the morning.

Later, he was produced before a mobile court, led by executive magistrate and upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) Abu Nasher Begh, which awarded him the jail term.
