Dhaka: A Dhaka court on Sunday indicted banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) chief Jasimuddin Rahmani and nine others in a case lodged under Anti-Terrorism Act (ACC).

‘Dhaka Metropolitan Session Judge Kamrul Hossain Mollah framed the charges with four accused including Rahmani on the dock,’ said additional public prosecutor Tapas Kumar Paul.

The court set 4 January to start recording the depositions of the witnesses in the case, the court official said.

The other nine accused are Abu Hanif, Al Asadullah alias Abdullah alias Md Piyas, Ali Azad, Kazi Mohammad Rezwan, Naimul Hasan, Jahidul Islam, Junnun Shikder, Amirul Islam, and Saiful Islam.

Inspector Nibaran Chandra Barman of Detective Branch (DB) of police filed the case with Mohammadpur Police Station in August, 2013. Police submitted charge sheet in the case in September, 2014.
