Dhaka: A woman, who suffered burn injuries in a fire at a gas lighter factory in Ashulia of Savar upazila last week, died undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Monday morning.

The deceased is Mahmuda, in his twenties. She was admitted at the burn unit of DMCH with 30 per cent burn injuries.

Mahmuda died at about 9:15am, said DMCH police camp in-charge sub-inspector Bachchu Miah.

Earlier, two of the injured women died at the same hospital on 23 and 24 November.

Thirty female workers sustained burn injuries in a fire that broke out at a warehouse of Colour Match BD at Jirabo Fulbagan in Ashulia at about 4:30pm on 22 November.

Of them, 22 were later sent to the Burn Unit of DMCH.
