Faridpur: Detectives arrested seven alleged robbers with bomb-like objects and sharp weapons in Komorpur area of Faridpur early on Tuesday.

The arrestees are Mohammad Alamgir Hossain, Matiur Rahman, Delwar Khan, Kuddus Khan, Reazul Mollah, Zafor Mollick, and Tobir Khan, residents of different areas of the same district.

On information that a gang of robbers was taking preparation to commit a robbery, a team of the Detective Branch (DB) conducted a drive there and arrested them with bomb-like objects and sharp weapons, said officer-in-charge of Faridpur Police Station Abdul Mannan.

A case was filed in this connection.
