Brahmanbaria: Four people were killed as a bus crashed into a battery-run auto-rickshaw at Bijoynagar upazila in Brahmanbaria on Wednesday afternoon.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

The Bijoynagar police Officer-in-charge Mohammad Ali Arshad said a Dhaka-boud Ena Paribahan bus rammed a Madhabpur-bound battery-run auto-rickshaw coming from opposite direction in the Shoshoi area under Bidhunti union of Bijoynagar upazila on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway at about 12:30pm, and left two passengers and the auto-rickshaw driver dead on the spot.

Another woman passenger was injured during the accident. Later, she was taken to Madhabpur upazila health complex, where doctors declared her dead.
