Gazipur District and Sessions Judge AKM Enamul Haque passed the order when six people, including Makbul, also a former BNP MP, surrendered before the court as per the High Court directives.

The five other accused are Makbul’s son Tanvir Ahmed, Tampaco general manager Shafiqur Raman, manager (admin) Monir Hossain, DMD Alamgir Hossain and manager Abul Hanif.

Earlier, on November 23, the High Court asked the factory owner and five others to surrender before a Gazipur court within a week.
