Dhaka: A fire broke out at Shyambazar kitchen market in the old part of capital Dhaka on Saturday evening.

Sources at the Fire Service Control Room said the fire broke out at a shop in the market at about 6:10 pm and soon it engulfed the adjacent shops.

On information, nine fire-fighting units rushed in and are trying to douse the blaze.

It is not yet clear what caused the fire.
