Gopalganj: A couple was killed as a passengers bus crushed them at Fakirkandi area on Dhaka-Khulna Highway in Gopalganj on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased were Khalid Sheikh, 30, and his wife Suraiya Begum, 18. Both are the residents of the area.  

Locals said the fatal accident took place when a passengers bus crushed them as they were returning home by a motorcycle from a college of the town, leaving the duo dead on the spot.  

Being informed, police visited the spot.
