Parliament: Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Raushon Ershad on Thursday said in Parliament that she wants Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to live 200 years.

"We’ve lost Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in an accident. We don't want such accident or nightmare takes place any more in the country. We want her (PM) to live 200 years. Who will take care of us as Bangabandhu is not among us," she said taking floor in the House.

Talking about the technical glitch in the VVIP flight carrying the Prime Minister to Budapest, the Opposition Leader demanded that the aircraft be examined by two or three groups of engineers before the departure to make sure that the flight is safe to carry the Prime Minister.

Posing a question, she said, “Why was the Prime Minister taken aboard in an aircraft having technical glitch which was detected earlier?”

About the ongoing Rohingya crisis, Raushon criticised Nobel Peace Laureates Dr Muhammad Yunus and Aung San Suu Kyi for keeping mum on the issue.

She urged the Prime Minister to help the Rohingya refugees on humanitarian grounds.

Pointing at the Housing and Public Works Minister, the Jatiya Party leader demanded plot allocation for all MPs, including herself.
