Natore: An army soldier was killed and two others were injured as a vehicle carrying them overturned on Natore-Pabna Highway in Rajapur area of Boraigram upazila on Sunday morning.

The deceased was Corporal Ziaur Rahman.

Bonpara Highway police camp Officer-in-charge Abdullah Al Mamun said the members of signal core of Bogra Cantonment were going to Pakshi of Pabna for winter military training in a pick up van in the morning.

At one stage, the vehicle overturned on the highway as one of its wheel got punctured, leaving three army personnel injured.

They were taken to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) at Kadirabad cantonment in the district where Ziaur Rahman was declared dead.
