Bangladesh, Palestine agree to translate excellent cooperation
Dhaka: Bangladesh and Palestine have agreed to translate the excellent cooperation and understanding at various levels including the business people and people in general.
The agreement came when the visiting Palestine Foreign Minister Dr. Riad Malki called on Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali at the Bangabandhu International Convention Center (BICC) on the sidelines of the 9th GFMD Summit on Saturday.
During the meeting, both the foreign ministers discussed on the ways to further deepening the bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries building upon the excellent political understanding and cooperation, foreign ministry sources said here.
Although it was for the GFMD meeting, this was the first time the Palestine foreign minister paid a visit to Bangladesh and he hoped to pay some more visits in the days ahead.
Both the ministers discussed how to further strengthen the bilateral cooperation in the areas of trade, education, agriculture, security and military fields.
The proposal for having a mechanism for political consultation was discussed and both sides agreed that it would further streamline the consultation mechanism.
The matter of waiving visa for diplomatic passport holders also came up in the discussion.
