Natore: An elderly woman was burnt to death as a fire broke out at her house at Koigarikrishnapur village in Sadar upazila of Natore early on Wednesday.

The deceased is Charu Bala.

Quoting relatives, police said the fire originated from a mosquito coil at her room in the night.

Sensing the fire, the house inmates rushed to Charu’s room and douse the flame at about 3:00am.

Later, they recovered the charred body of Charu from the burnt wreckage.
