Heat wave sweeping over country

Dhaka: Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over the Khulna and Rajshahi divisions and the regions of Dhaka, Mymensingh, Madaripur, Saidpur, Barisal and Patuakhali and it may continue as a mild heat wave at some places.

Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over the Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions and the regions of Comilla and Noakhali, said a Meteorology Office bulletin on Friday morning.

The weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.

Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.

Today’s highest temperature, 38.2 degrees Celsius, was recorded at Satkhira and the lowest, 23.2 degrees, at Sylhet.

The sun sets on Friday at 6:34pm and rises at 5:16am on Saturday in Dhaka.
