Dhaka: An apparel trader was killed by some miscreants at his flat in Dhaka city’s Malibagh area on Monday.

The deceased was as Sattar Mandal, 35, son of Sagor Ali Mandal of Sirajganj.

Sub-inspector Bacchu Miah, also in-charge of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police camp, said Sattar used to live on the fifth floor of a building at Pabna Colony in the area.

Sattar’s wife along with their children went to their village home on Friday. As Sattar didn’t respond to their phone call in the morning his son asked his friends over phone to go to their residence.

Later, his friends found Sattar lying in a pool of blood at his flat.

He was taken to the DMCH where doctors declared him dead.

Police said apparently the murder took place during robbery as some valuables of the house were found missing.
