Manikganj: Ferry services on Paturia-Daulatdia route in the River Padma resumed after three hours of disruption caused by dense fog on Tuesday morning.

Zillur Rahman, assistant manager (commercial) of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation’s (BIWTC’s) at Aricha ghat office, said they kept suspended ferry services on Paturia-Daulatdia route from 5:30am to 8:30am due to blurred visibility caused by dense fog.

About 200 hundred vehicles remained stranded at Paturia and Daolatdia terminals.

Passengers suffered most the vehicles kept waiting on both sides of the river for crossing.

Later, the ferry services resumed at about 8:30am as fog disappeared, said Zillur Rahman.
