Sirajganj: Two people were killed and seven others were injured in a collision between a bus and CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Jora bridge area of Ullapara upazila on Saturday night.

The deceased are Jharna Begum, who is 40 years old, resident of Kamarkhanda upazila, and Abdul Halim, in his forties, resident of Choriasikha village of Solonga upazila.

The accident took place in the area around 9.00pm when the bus collided with the auto-rickshaw, said Ashrafuzzaman, sub-inspector of Hati Kumrul highway police camp.

The injured were admitted to a local clinic.

Police recovered the bodies and sent those to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital.

A case was filed in this connection.
