Dhaka: Health and Family Welfare Minister and ruling party presidium member Mohammad Nasim on Friday called upon the people of all strata to participate at the human chain programme on Sunday.

The ruling party-led 14-party alliance will stage the human chain across the country including the capital to help prevent ongoing violence carried out by the BNP-Jammat.

Mohammad Nasim, also a spokesperson of the alliance, made the call following a views exchange meeting with various organizations on how to make the programme a success. The meeting was held at ruling party president Sheikh Hasina's political office at Dhanmondi on Friday.

Nasim urged all the leaders and activists of the 14-party alliance and people of all strata believe in the spirit of liberation war to participate at the human chain as part of protest against the violence unleashed by the anti-liberation forces across the country.
