Jessore: Former Science and ICT Minister Mostafa Faruk Mohammad died at a hospital in Dhaka on Wednesday. He was 74.

Mostafa Faruk, also a former ambassador and former Awami League lawmaker from Jessore-2 constituency, breathed his last at United Hospital at about 7:40pm, said his cousin Nasimul Habib Shipar.

He left behind wife, two daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

Mostafa Faruk served as the Science and ICT minister during the previous term of the Awami League government.
