Dhaka: At least three people were injured as a firing took place between a group of suspected robbers and members of Rapid Action Battalion at Kaundia in Savar upazila, on the outskirts of Dhaka early on Wednesday.

RAB-3 commanding officer (CO) Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Sarwar said RAB members and suspected robbers opened fire to each other at about 4:45am.

RAB claimed two of their members were injured during the firing. The injured were taken to a hospital in Mugda.

Another injured were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
