A college teacher was shot dead by unidentified assailants at Tinkhoti in Lalpur upazila of Natore on Thursday afternoon.  

The deceased is Mosharraf Hossain, a lecturer of Bangla Department of Moharkaya Degree College of Lalpur upazila, a resident of Pirgachha village in Bagha upazila.

A gang of unidentified miscreants opened fire at Mosharref when he was returning home from the college by a motorbike at about 1:30pm, leaving him injured, said Lalpur Police Station officer-in-charge Abu Obayed.

Later, they miscreants fled the scene hurriedly with Mosharref’s motorbike.

Local people took the teacher o Bagha Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead.
