Dhaka: Police recovered body of a man from a residential hotel in the Farmgate area of Dhaka on Friday noon.

The deceased is Shafique Ahmed Chowdhury, a contractor at Chittagong Local Government Engineering Department (LGED).

The Tejgaon police Operation Officer Sentu Mia told NTV Online Shafique checked into room no 710 of Hotel Farmgate three days ago. He was supposed to check out the hotel on Friday afternoon.

However, the hotel’s employees knocked Shafique’s door at about 12:00noon, but Shafique did not response. Later, the hotel authorities called police. Police went to the spot and recovered the body.

Sentu Mia said the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy. Details about the death can be said after getting the report.
