Savar: A policeman was crushed under a bus on the Dhaka-Aricha Highway near Aminbazar of Savar upazila on the outskirts of the Dhaka on Monday night.

The deceased is Sabur Miah, in his forties, a havildar of Dhaka Police Lines.

SM Kamruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station, said the bus hit Sabur while he was performing his duty in the area at about 12:00midnight, leaving him critically injured.

Later, he was taken to Enam Medical College Hospital where doctor declared him dead.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
