Dhaka: Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) has suspended 19 of its leaders and activists for their involvement in Saturday’s factional clash at Dhaka College that left three people injured.

Those suspended are convener of Dhaka College unit BCL Noor Alam Bhuiyan Raju, joint conveners Shahjahan Bhuiyan Shamim, Saleh Ahmed Hridoy, Samad Azad Zulfikar and Hiron Bhuiyan, members Shahriar Rashid, Hasanuzzaman Munna, Rahmatullah, Rubel Mandol and Saddam Hossain, reports UNB.

Besides, activists Mahmudur Rahman Saikot, Abdul Aziz Fayez, Naim bin Azad, Tuhin, Jasim Uddin, Mainul Islam, Milton Khandaker, Rana and Sujan.

BCL central committee took the decision at an emergency meeting, said a press release on Sunday.

Three students were injured in a clash between two factions of Dhaka College BCL unit over establishing supremacy on the campus on Saturday evening.

At least 20 shots were traded during the gunfight.
