Noakhali: A team of the Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit on Sunday night arrested two students from Char Kakra union of Companyganj upazila for their alleged connection with militant activities.

The arrestees are Ishtiaq, an examinee of secondary school certificate (SSC) examination and Rasel, a semester VII student of Uttara University in Dhaka.

Companyganj Police Station Officer-in-charge Kazi Fazle Rabbi said a CTTC team of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) raided a house in the union and arrested them at about 11:30am.
