Cox’s Bazar: Police captured the suspected leader of a human trafficking gang from Leda village in Taknaf upazila on Friday night.

The detainee is Yusuf, a resident the same village.

Teknaf Police officer-in-charge Ataur Rahman Khandakar said police conducted a drive in the area and detained Yusuf at about 10:30pm on Friday.

Yusuf used to traffic people to various countries through sea, and He stood accused in more than one cases filed for human trafficking, the OC added.
