Dhaka: Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Rajshahi and Khulna divisions and the places of Dhaka, Tangail, Faridpur, Madaripur, Comilla, Chandpur, Maijdi Court, Barisal and Patuakhali and it may continue as mild heat wave over Rajshahi and Khulna divisions.

Meanwhile, the metrology department said in a weather forecast in Dhaka that rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Khulna and Barisal divisions.

Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it said.

Country’s maximum rainfall was recorded only 68milimetres at Rangamati following 64mm recorded at Comilla for the last twenty-four hours commenced from 6:00am Sunday, it said.

Besides, country’s highest temperature was recorded at 39 degree Celsius at Rajshahi on Saturday and minimum temperature was recorded 18.8 degree Celsius at Rangpur district on Sunday.
