Dhaka: A fire broke out at a slum in Dhaka’s Nakhalpara area on Tuesday night.

Palash Chandra, Duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defense, said the fire erupted at about 10:45pm at a room of the slum and soon engulfed the adjacent rooms.

Nine units of fire fighters rushed to the spot and were working to put out the flame till filing this report at 12:20am, Palash added.

However, it is not still clear what exactly cause the fire.
