Chittagong: Three motorcycle riders were killed as a covered‐van hit the motorcycle they were riding on the Dhaka‐Chittagong Highway at Banu Bazar in Sitakunda upazila of Chittagong on Wednesday night.

The victims are Rakib, Jabed and Nayan, residents of Faujdarhat area.

The accident took place at about 10:15pm when a Dhaka‐bound covered‐van hit the motorcycle, leaving two of them dead on the spot and another injured, said Saleh Ahmed, officer‐in‐charge of Barulia Highway police camp.

The injured was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
