Dhaka: A man was slaughtered to death allegedly by his cousin over a land-related dispute in Sutrapur area, Dhaka in the early hours of Tuesday.

The deceased is Manir Hossain, in his forties, a resident of Lalmohan Das Lane in Sutrapur area.

The Sutrapur police n said there had been a longstanding dispute between Manir and his cousin Wahid over ownership of a piece of land.

The deceased’s family alleged that Wahid called Manir out of his house at about 1:30am and then slaughtered him.

Critically injured Manir was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he died of his injures at about 3:00am.

Police sent it to DMCH morgue for an autopsy.
