Robbers looted Tk 6 lakh from a bus passenger on Dhaka-Aricha Highway in front of Dairy Farm Gate at Ashulia in Savar on Monday.

Quoting witnesses, police said seven robbers, riding on three motorbikes, intercepted a Savar-bound bus and fired bullets to create panic among the passengers at noon.

Later, the robbers snatched a bag containing Tk 6 lakh from a passenger of the bus, reports UNB.

Being resisted, the muggers opened fired towards three people, including the man who was holding the bag, leaving them injured, said officer-in-charge of Ashulia Police Station Mahsinul Quadir.

The injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Police visited the spot.
