Dhaka: Bangladesh Bank Deputy Director Golam Hossain killed in a road crash at Tikatuli in Dhaka on Tuesday morning.

The Wari police Sub-inspector (SI) Moyazzem Hossain said the accident took place at Tikatuli crossing under Wari police station at about 7:30am.

The body of Golam Hossain has been kept at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police camp sub-inspector (SI) Bachchu Miah said the bus heading towards to Mohammadpur from Jatrabari turned turtle in the area as the driver lost his control over the steering around 8:30am, leaving Golam Hossain dead on the spot.

Two others were also injured during the accident. The injured—Sajida, Jalal, and Sujan, — were taken to DMCH.

However, the SI could not confirm how the accident occurred.
