Chittagong:  An activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was killed in a clash between its City College unit’s two rival groups at Riajuddin Bazar area in Chittagong city on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased was Yasin, 21, a student of Government City College.

Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) assistant police commissioner (Kotwali) Jahangir Alam said two groups of BCL locked into an altercation over establishing supremacy in the area at about 4:00pm that led to a clash, leaving Yasir critically injured.

Later the injured was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
