Indian foreign secy likely to be in Dhaka 23 February
Dhaka: Indian Foreign Secretary Subrahmanyam Jaishankar is likely to be in Dhaka on 23 February to discuss issues of mutual interest with special focus on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s next visit to New Delhi.
There is a possibility that the visit will take place in April, said diplomatic officials.
The Indian Foreign Secretary will meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and senior government officials during his stay in Dhaka.
The two countries are taking preparations dozens of documents, including deals for using Chittagong and Mongla ports by India.
On 30 November, Indian Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar visited Bangladesh and had discussions with the political and military leaderships of Bangladesh apart from proposing a number of new initiatives to enhance ties.
