Adequate security measures have been taken in and around the Central Shaheed Minar for the International Mother Language Day, said Director General of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Benazir Ahmed.

He came up with the information while talking to reporters after visiting the Central Shaheed Minar on Monday, reports UNB.

The RAB chief said the elite force was performing their duties from February 19 to ensure people’s security.

The Dhaka University campus and Central Shaheed Minar areas have been brought under closed-circuit TV cameras while five check-posts set up as part of the security, he said.
