Dhaka: US Ambassador in Dhaka Marcia Bernicat is going to meet Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Wednesday afternoon.

The meeting is scheduled to be held at Khaleda’s Gulshan office at about 4:30pm, her media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan told news agency UNB on Tuesday.

BNP sources said issues relating to bilateral interests of the two countries and Bangladesh’s latest political situation will be discussed at the meeting.

A BNP leader close to Khaleda said some other issues like BNP chairperson’s proposal on the election-time supportive government, current Election Commission and Bangladesh’s next general election are likely to come up for discussion during the parley.
