Keraniganj: Around 13 shops gutted as a fire broke out in Nizambagh area under Kamrangirchar thana of Dhaka on Friday morning.

Fire Service officials said that the fire broke out in a stationary shop from an electric short-circuit around 5:55am and engulfed the adjoining 12 others.

On information, six fire-fighting units from Lalbagh, Hazaribagh fire stations and fire service headquarters rushed to the spot and doused the fire around 7:12am.

The affected shop owners claimed that the fire caused a loss of Tk10lakh.
