Dhaka: A private car driver was reportedly beaten to death in the Khilkhet area of Dhaka on Friday morning.

The deceased is Kismat Ali, in his forties, a resident of Khilkhet in Dhaka.

The Khilkhet police Officer-in-charge Adil Hossain said three of Kismat’s brothers—Shaju, Raju, and Tapu, beat him at East Kuratoli in Khilkhet at about 10:30pm, over a land related dispute and left him critically injured.

Later, local people took him to Kurmitola General Hospital. Kismat died undergoing treatment at the hospital at about 11:30pm.

OC said police is conducting drive to detain the miscreants involved in the incident.

However, the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
