Dhaka: Amir Hossain, acting editor of The Daily Sun, died early on Monday. He was 77.

Hossain breathed his last at Apollo Hospital in the city around 12:00midnight.

He left behind his wife, a daughter and a host of relatives and well‐wishers to mourn his death.

His body will be taken to the National Press Club premises at 4:00pm for second namaj‐e‐janaja after the first namaz‐e‐ janaza at the East West Media Group Ltd (EWMGL)premises at 2:00pm, said one of his colleagues.

Later, the body will be taken to Madaripur for burial.
