Dhaka: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) claimed to have detained 24 members of international human trafficking syndicate and seized around Tk 6lakh ransom amount in Dhaka.

RAB-3 via a text message said RAB members recovered a huge number of passports, fake visas and equipment for making fake visas from the arrestees.

Details about the arrest will be disclosed in a press conference at RAB Media Centre at about 11:00am on Wednesday.

The text message says RAB-3 rescued 10 victims while trafficking to Malaysia illegally during a drive conducted at several areas in Dhaka and the airport.

The law enforcers also recovered 27 people as they were trafficking to Libya.
