Young man stabbed dead

Jessore: A young man was stabbed to death and two others were injured in an attack by some miscreants over a trifling matter at Khalder Road in Jessore in the early hours of Wednesday.
The deceased is Khaiber Rahman, who is 18 years old, a resident of the area.
The Kotwali police said an altercation ensued among some young men, including Khaiber, over sitting at Karbala Mosque during prayers on the night of holy Shab-e-Barat at about 1:00am.
After prayers when Khaiber went to the graveyard near the mosque, around four young men swooped on him and a scuffle took place among them over the issue.
At one stage, they stabbed Khaiber leaving him critically injured.
He was taken to Jessore Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Two young men—Amit and Titu—were also injured in the attack. They were sent to the Sadar Hospital. Later, Titu was sent to Dhaka following deterioration of his condition.
