Munshiganj: A CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver was killed in a road accident at Shukhbaspur in Sadar upazila on Saturday.

The deceased was Akmad Ali,35, son of Shahabuddin Bepari of Charpara village in Sadar upazila of Kishoreganj district.

Sub-inspector of Hatimara Police camp M Hafiz said the accident took place around 10am when an auto-rickshaw collided with another three-wheeler from the opposite direction in the area during heavy rain, leaving driver Akmad dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Munshiganj General Hospital for autopsy.
