Worker killed in Ctg oil tanker blast
Chittagong: A worker was killed and another injured as an empty oil tanker exploded at Dakkhin Chhalimpur in Sitakunda upazila of Chittagong on Monday.
Witness Nasir Uddin said the deceased, Shahin, 21, son of Shahjalal of Comilla district and his colleague Mahbub, 23, employees of MS Alam Engineering Works, were welding the empty oil tanker in the afternoon.
Suddenly, the oil tanker went off with a big bang around 4:30pm, leaving the duo injured.
Later, they were taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where Shahin succumbed to his injuries, said sub-inspector Jahirul Islam, in-charge of CMCH police camp.
