Dhaka:  A fire that roke out at the Jheelpar-Boubazar part of Korail slum in Mohakhali in the early hours of Thursday, has been brought under control.

No casualties were reported in the fire that originated at about 3:00am.

Eighteen fire-fighting units doused the blaze after five and half hours of efforts, said Fire Service Control room duty officer Mizanur Rahman

The reason behind the origin of the fire and causality could not be ascertained immediately.
