A fire broke out at a multi-storey building in the city’s Karwan Bazar on Friday afternoon.

Mizanur Rahman, a duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) headquarters control, said the fire originated on the 1st floor of the 3-storey building near TCB building at 4:30pm, reports UNB.

On information, seven fire fighters units went to the spot and are trying to bring the fire under control, at the time of filing this report at 5:15pm.

The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately, the FSCD duty officer added.
