Bagerhat war crimes accused dies
Dhaka: Abdul Ali Mollah, a war crimes accused of Bagerhat, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Monday morning.
Jahangir, senior superintendent of Dhaka Central Jail, said around 80-year-old Abdul Ali Mollahwas admitted to the hospital under police custody in the morning as he fell sick due to various old age complications.
Mollah, a resident of Udankhali village in Kachua upazila of Bagerhat district, breathed his last around 9:25am, he said.
Earlier on 25 January, police arrested Mollah from his house hours after the International Crimes Tribunal-1 issued arrest warrant against him in a case filed for allegedly committing crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971.
