Dhaka: The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) 1 on Thursday issued arrest warrant against six alleged Razakars from Gafargaon upazila of Mymensingh.

‘Five of the 11 accused in the case are already in jail now. Today we pleaded to issue arrest warrant against the remaining six. Justice Anwarul Haque, chairman of the three-member panel of the ICT-1, accepted our plea and issued the warrant,’ said prosecutor Rezia Sultana Chaman.

Without disclosing the names of the six accused, the prosecutor added that the tribunal has set 22 May for submitting a report on execution of today’s order.

Their five accomplices, who are in jail now are- Khalilur Rahman Mir alias Khalilur Rahman, Md Rois Uddin Azadi alias Akkel Ali, Mohammad Abdullah, Md Samsuzzaman alias Abul Kalam and Mohammad Abdul Malek Akand alias Abul Hossain.

The investigation agency of the tribunal on 20 February submitted their report on probe into the crimes allegedly committed by these 11 accused and pressed four charges of crimes against humanity.
