No tannery waste in using fish, poultry feed: SC
Dhaka: The Supreme Court (SC) on Sunday upheld a High Court order asking for putting an end to the use of tannery waste as fish and poultry feed.
A four‐member Appellate Division bench, headed by Justice SK Shinha, issued the order.
The Appellate Division rejected a leave‐to‐appeal petition filed challenging the High Court order, said lawyer Manzill Murshid.
Earlier, on 21 July in 2011, an HC bench directed the authorities concerned to stop manufacturing poultry and fish feed from tannery waste following a writ petition filed by Human Rights and Peace for Bangladesh.
