Cox’s Bazar: Police recovered the hanging bodies of a couple from an apartment at Hangorpara in Cox’s Bazar municipality early on Monday.

The Sadar Model Police Officer-in-charge Aslam Hossain said Abdus Sukkur, and his wife Hasina Aktar, had been living on the top floor of a five‐storey building at Hangorpara.

On Sunday night, their neighbours informed police about them as they did not find any response from their apartment for a long time.

Later, police broke into the apartment around 12:30am and found Sukkur and his wife hanging from the ceiling of the room.

Their bodies were sent to hospital morgue for autopsy, said OC Aslam adding that they are right now unable to say anything specific about their death.
