Dhaka: Customs detectives seized an abandoned posh car at Hatirjheel in Dhaka on Monday.

Tipped off, a team of customs detectives appeared at the spot and seized the car, ‘Porsche Cayenne 955’, around 9:30am, said Customs Intelligence’s Deputy Director HM Shariful Hasan.

The key of the car and a letter were found inside it. The car was brought in the country in 2010 though the Carnet de Passage facility.

As the validity of the facility expired, car owner Farida Rashid, a Bangladeshi expatriate living in the UK, did not return the vehicle, said Hasan.
