Jhenidah: Police arrested 85 more people, including six activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir, in a special drive from different parts of the district on Tuesday.

Azbahar Ali Sheikh, additional superintendent of police, told news agency UNB that police conducted a drive in different places of six upazilas in the district from Monday night to Tuesday morning and arrested them on various charges.

Among the arrestees, there were five Jamaat men and one Shibir activist, he added.

All of the arrestees were accused in a number of cases filed with different police stations, the ASP said.
